Once IE7 is installed and working on your computer please visit our Subscribe page.
Click on the link to the RSS feed you would like to subscribe to. For example Latest news from Geoscience Australia. When you have subscribed through this link you should see a list of our current news items.
In the top left corner of the browser, window click on the 'Add/Subscribe' button . You will see a drop down menu appear under the icon. Select the first menu item, 'Subscribe to this feed'.
A popup window will open allowing you to name the feed that you want to subscribe to. In this instance it is automatically filled in with 'GA latest news'. If you wish, you can also organise your feed into folders by clicking the 'New folder' button and creating a new folder. Alternatively click the 'Subscribe' button to subscribe and add the RSS feed to your IE7 Favourites Center.
To view the latest news from Geoscience Australia via the RSS feed, click on the 'Favourites Centre' icon located towards the top left of your browser window. This will open your IE7 Favourites Center which are grouped into, Favourites, Feeds or History.
Click on the 'Feeds' icon to view the RSS feeds that you have subscribed to.
Click on the 'GA latest news' link to view the latest news from Geoscience Australia via the RSS feed.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, Version 3.0 installed on your Internet connected computer.
Once Firefox 3.0 is installed and working on your computer please visit our Subscribe page.
When you have clicked on this link a prompt window titled 'Add Live Bookmark' opens.
You can modify the name and the folder where the live bookmark will be stored and then click on the 'OK' link. This will add the link into your favourites as well as add a shortcut button under the main toolbar on the browser. Click on the 'Cancel' button to close the prompt window.
To view the latest items for the RSS subscription, simply click on the shortcut button to the RSS feed and then select the article that you wish to read.
