| Please Note: Wide Beam mode images will have an "artifact" along track caused by Nadir return. For W1 and W2 modes, this will be located close to the far edge of the image, and for W3 mode, centrally located in the image. | |||
The image is aligned parallel to the satellite's orbit path and has been geo-referenced by adding position information to the image data. This type of product must be oriented before integration into existing GIS datasets.
The image is aligned parallel to true north and corrected using either Equidistant Rectangular, Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) or Australian Map Grid (AMG) map projections, as selected by the user. This type of image is the most appropriate for integration into existing GIS datasets.
These processing options are made available for users of SAR image data with high-end SAR processing capabilities.
| Path Image Plus | A small pixel spacing is produced to retain the full RADARSAT beam mode resolution. This product enhances the ability to measure point targets. However, it will create a digital file which is considerably larger than a Path Image product. This product is the same price as the Path Image product for the equivalent beam mode and is not available in either of the ScanSAR beam modes. |
|---|---|
| Single Look Complex | Data is stored in slant range, has been corrected for satellite reception errors, includes positional information and is calibrated. In addition, this data retains the optimum resolution available for each beam mode and the phase and amplitude information of the original SAR data. This product is the same price as the Path Image product for the equivalent beam mode, but is not available in either of the ScanSAR beam modes. |
| Raw Data | This data cannot be viewed as an image. It is an unprocessed matrix of time delays which have been repackaged to fit into standard CEOS format. This product is the same price as the Path Image product for the equivalent beam mode. |
