Customisable Geoscience Australia RSS Feeds

What is the customised RSS feed?

This facility allows you to build your own customised RSS feed based on a search query directed to the Geoscience Australia website. For example, you may wish to create an RSS feed based on the keywords "Tsunami Warning System". When new content relating to the Tsunami Warning System is added to our website, this will automatically be display in your RSS reader.

How to make your own customised RSS feed with Geoscience Australia data

1. Develop an appropriate keyword search

This should relate to your topic of interest (e.g. "Tsunami Warning System"). The more accurate your search keywords the better your RSS feed will be in locating the information you are after. Avoid using broad keywords like "map" which may return thousands of results - try to use more specific keywords (e.g. "vegetation maps"). Use the back button on your browser to return to this page.

2. Create your custom RSS feed

Once you are satisfied that your keywords are returning the results you are after, copy them into the box below and click on "Create RSS feed". Now you can subscribe this feed by copying the URL of the resulting feed and pasting it into your favourite RSS reader. This will then work as a normal RSS feed with your specific items of interest and alert you when updated articles appear.
