Each of these layers has a level of interactivity which can be actioned by hovering the mouse cursor over the point features. Read below for more information on each of the layer's features and actions. Please note, other surfaces can interfere with this feature. If this happens turn off the Image Overlays (or any other layer that may interfere) and try again.
Seismic Stations
Information on each of the seismic stations for the Flinders Ranges and surrounds can be attained by hovering the mouse cursor over an individual diamond. Doing this will change the colour of the red diamond to green and display the station number and its Lat Lon coordinate.
Earthquakes
Switching on the Earthquakes checkbox will drop down four viewing options for the earthquake data which can be toggled by selecting the radio buttons. Only one viewing method can be selected at a time, the options are;
The colour ramp used for these events is a blue through green, yellow to red as shown below;
Information on each of the seismic events can be attained by hovering the mouse cursor over an individual sphere. Doing this will change the colour of the sphere to magenta and display the magnitude, depth, date and time of the event.
Image Overlays & Transparency Slider
Switching on the Image Overlays checkbox will drop down five image options and a transparency slider. Each image is draped over a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and can only be viewed one at a time by toggling the radio buttons. The options are;
Each image can have its transparency adjusted from fully opaque to completely transparent. This can be done by either sliding the yellow slider bar back and forth across the transparency bar or by clicking a point along the transparency bar to which the yellow slider will 'snap' to.
