IRS-P6 Processing Options

Geoscience Australia only provides IRS-P6 Image products which have been pre-processed according to the pre-defined set of product specifications described below.

If you are unfamiliar with the generic processing options for our data, it is recommended that you first read the Optical Data Processing Options.

Radiometric calibration and geometric correction have been applied to the product. The image has been rotated to align with grid north

Map Projection Options for Optical Image Products: Lambert Conformal Conic projection. It has parallels at 18 and 36 degrees south with central meridian at 134 degrees east and latitude of the projection origin at the equator. No false easting or northing has been applied to the coordinates.

Note that this is not an orthocorrected product.

Uncompressed, reconstructed digital counts with radiometric correction.

Please note that orthocorrected IRS-P6 products are not available at this time. However, we are investigating procedures to provide orthocorrected images in the near future.
