Do you have an interest in science and technology but are unsure about the types of jobs available in these subjects?

The Geoscience Australia Careers Expo is an ideal place to start finding out.

Earth scientists seek out the answers to questions such as:

  • Which parts of Australia are safest from earthquakes and tsunamis?
  • How did the unique Australian landscape evolve?
  • What does our National anthem mean by ‘wealth for toil’?
  • How can fossils help us to find energy sources for electricity generation?

If you are in Years 9 – 12 or currently studying at university, come along and speak to our scientists about their career paths and day-to day responsibilities and discover the diverse range of careers in the Earth Sciences.

Geoscience Australia will be holding a Careers Expo on Thursday, 18 October from 1pm to 5pm at its headquarters, Cnr Jerrabomberra Ave and Hindmarsh Drive, Symonston [GIF 360KB], Canberra.

Be part of this year’s Earth Science Week and “Discover a career in Earth Science”.

For more information on the Careers Expo, please contact the Geoscience Australia Education Team on 02 6249 9673 or Bookings are essential.
