Dinosaur roaming the grounds at Geoscience Australia's 2013 Open Day

Geoscience Australia will again open its doors to the community to celebrate National Science Week External site link on Sunday, 24 August 2014 from 10am to 4pm.

Open Day offers a diverse program of activities, science displays, tours and talks that showcase Geoscience Australia’s wide range of work in the fields of petroleum, mineral, marine mapping, groundwater and natural hazard research.

There will be opportunities to talk to Australia’s leading geoscientists and learn about our recent achievements in the Earth sciences. Visitors will be able to discover how earthquakes are monitored, see the world using the latest 3D technology and find out what careers are available at Australia’s national geoscience agency.

Geoscience Australia's Open Day hosts a range of displays and activities for all ages.
