Open Day 2013
Open Day 2013 Sunday 13 August 2013, 10am to 4pm.
Geoscience Australia will again open its doors to the community to celebrate National Science Week on Sunday, 18 August 2013 from 10am to 4pm.
Open Day offers a diverse program of activities, science displays, tours and talks that showcase Geoscience Australia’s wide range of work in the fields of petroleum, mineral, marine mapping, groundwater and natural hazard research.
There will be opportunities to talk to Australia’s leading geoscientists and learn about our recent achievements in the Earth Sciences. Visitors will be able to discover how earthquakes are monitored, view the world using the latest 3D technology, learn about the age of rocks and see if you can spot the roving dinosaur.
Open Day hosts a range of science talks, tours, displays and activities for all ages.
