The National Geodetic Data Base (NGDB) is a national archive of more than 25,000 geodetic survey marks of national interest in Australia and it's external territories (including Antarctica). The database contains positions in terms of a number of datums and coordinate systems of national interest and historical importance.

Want to know what control is available in your area?
Geoscience Australia, is responsible for the National Geodetic Data Base. State and Territory authorities maintain their own data bases of current survey control which may contain information not held in the NGDB. Depending on individual resources and policies, the data may be available on-line, or metadata may indicate what is available and how to obtain it.
