Access & Services

Library study area

Visitors

External users may use the Library and its photocopying facilities. They may become borrowers on a subscription basis.

Inter-Library Loans

Most material may be borrowed through the inter-library loan system. Requests are accepted via mail, fax, or email (ill.library@ga.gov.au) to our inter-library loan officer, or Libraries Australia Document Delivery (LADD) inter-library loan system. Priority is given to requests which have been verified as correct through a recognised indexing source, such as GeoRef.

Standard delivery time is five working days, but priority (48 hours), rush (24 hours) and express (2 hours) delivery times are available.

Reference Services

Literature searches can be conducted on a variety of databases and output provided in digital or hard-copy format. For material uncovered by these searches but not held by the Library, a follow-up document delivery service is provided. These services are available on a fee-for-service basis.
