The Mineral Resources and Advice Group of Geoscience Australia would like to acknowledge the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator (ORER) for the support received in funding and developing this project. ORER staff involved in the creation this accredited renewable energy sites online GIS included Mr David Rossiter and Mr Jamie Snashall. ORER staff involved in the ongoing maintainence of the site include Prue Brooks.
The original digital data capture of renewable energy electricity generation sites was undertaken by Ron Sait in 1998. This Excel spreadsheet was then developed by Geoscience Australia into an online GIS. The metadata sheet describes the many data sources used for the online GIS. The system is maintained by the Mineral Resources and Advice Group within GA.
This system was written using the open source Mapserver GIS system, version
3.3.010.
The java applet used in this system is the Rosa Java Applet.
