Web Map Service (WMS) access

The MapConnect map service can be accessed as a Web Map Service (WMS)*. WMS is an Open Source standard protocol that produces a map image (GIF, PNG or other format) from a set of simple URL text requests.

The following is a sample request map string for MapConnect. You can copy and paste the following URL into a browser address box to test.

* the minimum URL must contain the ServiceName attribute.
