Feature Width Definitions

The feature width attribute is inbuilt into many representation symbols (eg Bridge Pt FeatWid 08 Orient 118). The feature width is generally assigned to a structural feature (eg bridge, causeway, etc) and relates to the associated road or railway which utilises the structure. The feature width value assignment will be based either on the related road classification or railway guage. The only exception is on road under construction where the feature width reflects the classification of road under construction. see 5.8 Feature Width Attribute for more details
