Access constraints: General Geoscience Australia Licience Agreements and fee required. Free Data DownloadData qualityLineage: The Australian Exclusive Economic Zone (AEEZ). An area beyond and adjacent to the territorial sea promulgated by Commonwealth of Australia Gazette S290 of 29 July 1994. The outer limit of the AEEZ is 200 nautical miles from the baseline from which the breadth of the territorial sea is measured, except that within parts of the Coral Sea, Tasman Sea, limit is defined by bilateral agreements or median lines with the like zones of neighbouring countries. Positional accuracy: Nominal Scale 1:100 000. The positional accuracy varies according to the scale and origin of the source data, the data digitising process and the stability of the coastline. Experience and emperical evaluations suggest that the data is generally better than +/- 150 metres. Attribute accuracy: Automated tests in Oracle were used to verify that 100% of all mandatory fields were filled. In excess of 60% of the remaining fields have been randomly checked and found to have acceptable accuracy. Logical Consistency: All vector data has been visually checked for extraneous points and value added data. Polygons have been checked for closure and dangles. Completeness: All vector data and details are complete and verified. Contact information
