L195 Capricorn Deep Crustal Seismic Survey, WA, 2010. Stacked and Migrated seismic data and images for lines 10GA-CP1, 10GA-CP2 and 10GA-CP3.Note: This metadata describes the dataset in accordance with the ANZLIC (Australia New Zealand Land Information Council) Core Metadata Guidelines Version 2. Dataset citationANZLIC unique identifier: ANZCW0703015417 Title: L195 Capricorn Deep Crustal Seismic Survey, WA, 2010. Stacked and Migrated seismic data and images for lines 10GA-CP1, 10GA-CP2 and 10GA-CP3. CustodianCustodian: Geoscience Australia / OEMD Jurisdiction: Australia DescriptionAbstract: This survey was a collbarative project between AuScope, the Geological Survey of Western Australia and Geoscience Australia. Funding was through AuScope and the Western Australian Government Royalties for Regions, Exploration Incentive Scheme. These deep seismic profiles improve the understanding of the Western Australian continent by imaging the subsurface extent of Archean crust beneath the Capricorn Orogen and determining whether the Pilbara and Yilgarn Cratons are in direct contact or separated by one of more elements of Proterozoic crust. Access constraints: This survey was conducted under an ANSIR agreement and a National Geocience Agreemtent. Funded was through AuScope and the Western Australia Royalties for Regions Exploration Incentive Scheme. Geoscience Australia provided project management and processing through the Onshore Energy Securiy Program. Please attribute source. Free Data DownloadData qualityLineage: Terrex Seismic was contracted to undertake the data acquisition. Seismic Reflection data was acquired using 3 x Hemi 60 Vibroseis trucks and a SERCEL 428X L acquisition equipment. Parameters used included 3 x 60,000 lb source, vibe interval 80m, 3 x 12 second sweeps (6-64Hz, 12-96 Hz & 8-72Hz), 40m geophone group interval, split spread 6000m-0-6000m (300 channel). Correlated record length 20 sec. Geoscience Australia processed the data using Disco Focus Software. Metadata with details of processing is included in the data download files. Positional accuracy: Dynamic Satellite services were contracted to do the traverse line surveying. Calculated location from GPS measurements acurate to less than 25 metres Attribute accuracy: Standard SEG-Y data Logical Consistency: Not known Completeness: Complete Contact information
