Boundary of the Normanton Formation, Allaru Mudstone and Wallumbilla Formation in Cape York and offshore Carpentaria. Differentiation of Rolling Downs group within Cape York and extent of Normanton Formation within offshore Carpentaria Basin. Joins with boundaries of Rolling Downs Group included on Habermehl and Lau (1997). Lineage

Within the Rolling Downs group, boundaries were interpreted from wire-line logs (Habermehl 2001). Boundary data in the Laura Basin came from the 1:250K Geological Map series (Geoscience Australia, 2010). The possible extent of the Normanton Formation offshore was interpreted from minimal well information (Blake et.al. 1990). Extent and sub-basin elements of the Carpentaria Basin derived from McConachie et. Al. (1990), with the assumption that the extent follows the Jurassic sequence.
