Geoscience Australia's Onshore Energy and Minerals Division provides the exploration and mining industry, governments and research bodies as well as the public with:

geoscience information products to support Australian mineral exploration, including online databases, maps and 3D models;
advice on mineral resources, mining and land use;
factsheets regarding mineral commodities and resources; and
new research methods and standards to support mineral exploration in Australia.
