Minerals Alert July 2006

1. Tanami Seismic Workshop

On 20-22 June 2006, Geoscience Australia convened a seminar in Alice Springs entitled "Evolution and Metallogenesis of the North Australian Craton" with speakers from Geoscience Australia, the Northern Territory Geological Survey, and the Geological Survey of Western Australia. The highlight of the conference was a one-day workshop on the 2005 Tanami Seismic Collaborative Research Project, during which first-pass structural interpretations of four seismic traverses across the Tanami Region were presented and discussed for the first time.

For further information visit our Conferences & Seminars page.

For copies of all PowerPoint presentations and a PDF of the seismic workshop handbook, please email David Huston; or phone +61 (0) 2 6249 9577.
