1. UNCOVER Update
Since its original inception in 2010, Geoscience Australia has been actively involved in developing the Australian Academy of Science's UNCOVER initiative. The initiative's vision is for earth scientists across Government, Industry and Academia to cooperate in an innovative, structured and nationally coordinated strategic venture that will bring competitive advantage to Australian mineral exploration. Over the past year Geoscience Australia, together with 35 other Industry and Government sponsors, have contributed to AMIRA International Project P1162, which is aimed at developing a Roadmap for the science of UNCOVER. The Roadmap identifies the collective view of industry for the new research and data collection priorities to make a step change in exploration performance. The Roadmap will be released by the Minister of Industry and Science, The Honourable Ian Macfarlane MP, at the next Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Energy Council meeting in Perth on 22 July 2015.

2. Update on geophysical data acquisition
Geoscience Australia is managing the geophysical data acquisition programs in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory on behalf of the state/territory geological surveys.
The current status of Geoscience Australia's geophysical survey data acquisition is available in a comprehensive table.
