1. Release of two new reports on the completion of stratigraphic drillholes GSQ Eulo 1 and GSQ Eulo 2.

Geoscience Australia has released two new reports co-authored with the Geological Survey of Queensland regarding the completion of stratigraphic drillholes GSQ Eulo 1 and GSQ Eulo 2. The holes were drilled in the Southern Thomson Orogen near Eulo in Southern Queensland. The GSQ Eulo 1 borehole recovered 75.9 metres of metamorphic basement rocks of the Nebine Metamorphics and the GSQ Eulo 2 borehole recovered 75.5 m of previously unrecognised intermediate volcanic rocks of the Waihora Volcanics. Drill core and chips from both boreholes are now available to the public at the GSQ core repository at Zillmere.

The reports and associated wireline geophysics datasets are available for free download:

HyLogger data for both boreholes will be added to the National Virtual Core Library when they become available.
