This report has been prepared for the 16th United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific (UNRCC-AP), incorporating the 9th Meeting of the Permanent Committee on GIS Infrastructure for Asia and the Pacific (PCGIAP), held in Okinawa, Japan, 14-18 July 2003.

The report has been collated and edited by Geoscience Australia, on behalf of the Commonwealth of Australia, using contributions from a range of Federal, State and industry stakeholders.
