Antarctica 1:20 Million Scale

An A4 brochure folds out to an A2 sheet, containing a map and text about The Ice
Continent; The Southern Ocean; Upper Atmosphere Phenomena; The Antarctic Treaty System; and The Antarctic Program. One side features a beautifully presented geographic map (594 x 420mm), brightly coloured with relief drawing and bathymetry. Claim and Treaty boundaries are shown, as well as a distance matrix.

Antarctica 1:10 Million Scale

An attractive multicoloured map of the entire Antarctic continent. In addition to major rock features, the map shows the shape of the ice cap through contours, spot elevations, ice thicknesses and relief shading. Depth contours depict the bathymetry of the adjacent seas. Scientific stations of the Antarctic Treaty nations are also shown. Heard and Macquarie Islands at 1:250 000 scale and the McDonald Islands at 1:125 000 scale are included as insets. A gazetteer appears on the reverse.

A superb map of the Australian Antarctic Territory at 1:5 million scale showing the routes of onshore and offshore expeditions under the direction of Group Captain Stuart Campbell (in 1947-48) and Dr Phillip Law (1949-66). Produced in collaboration with the Antarctic Division, this map, supplemented by numerous colour photographs and extensive sections of text, provides a comprehensive record of Australias long history of involvement in Antarctica.
