The APEC Economies Map

Thumbnail image of The APEC Economies Map

APEC, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation group of nations, is a forum of economies in the Asia Pacific area with regional economic cooperation and development as its primary focus. At the time of publishing (1994) APEC had 18 members and a combined population of over 2000 million. For most members, over two-thirds of their exports are to other APEC economies and together they account for nearly half of the total world exports.

This map was a joint effort between Geoscience Australia and Bakosurtanal, the national mapping agency of Indonesia. It shows the major cities in each APEC nation, and also lists statistics for each nation, comparing area, population, landguage, currency, exports and imports.
