Landsat Australian Mosaic - 2004

The following images show Australia as a satellite image mosaic and a raster map image. Side by side presentation enables comparison, between the two images, of the same area. Features such as roads, boundary and land use can be seen.

The image on the left is a satellite image produced from data collected in 2004 on the Landsat-7 satellite with the ETM+ sensor using spectral bands 2,4 and 7. This image has 300 metre resolution and can be downloaded or bought as a poster. The image on the right is a raster image of the 1:250,000 map and shows roads, state boundaries, national parks, towns and cities.

Pointer Mode:
Use the controls at left to move and zoom around the image.
Pan and zoom may cause some delay before the image is fully refreshed.
