The Landsat-5 satellite has captured images of the flooded region around Bairnsdale and Sale in south-east Victoria. These 90 x 90 kilometre images, acquired on 13 and 29 June 2007, show the Mitchell River at Bairnsdale before flooding and close to its predicted peak, inundating local areas as the river breeches its banks.
