Bushfires in Victoria, February 2009

On Saturday 7 February 2009, bushfires overcame several areas of Victoria resulting in the nation's worst natural disaster for more than a century - both financially and through loss of life. These images from the Landsat 5 satellite show the areas affected in south-east Victoria 10 days after the fires, and the same areas one year before.
