A Basic Search Result displays a list of returned entries in the left panel and corresponding icons on the base map in the right panel. The screenshot below shows the result from a Basic Search for flood information in Burpengary, Queensland.
The first three search results are displayed in a list, if available others can be viewed by clicking the 'Show more results' link at the bottom of the list. The list is sorted by distance from the search location and then age. Closer and newer studies will be at the top of the list.
The red map marker shows the search location. A list of Local Council, State or Catchment Authority websites with flood information is displayed by default. Clicking the red map marker will toggle this list on and off.
Each row in the results list includes a `map marker¿. The location of the study will be highlighted on the map when the marker is clicked.
Orange markers mean the study record includes GIS data.
Blue markers mean the study record does not include GIS data.
Blue circles represent other entries in the database, click to view more details.
Yellow circles represent other entries in the database that include viewable maps, click to view more details.
Click 'Show more information about the study' to display all the detail held for a record.
If the study record includes viewable maps, they will be shown in the results list too. Each map is shown with:
- A description of its likelihood;
- Short description of the simulated event that produced it;
- An button which displays the flood map in the main mapping area and;
- An About this Map button which displays a brief overview of what the flood map is about, where it came from, and important things to consider when viewing it.
To remove the map from the mapping area, click , or use the layer selector .
Click 'Switch to Advanced' to display a more detailed view of the same search results.
Displays the search form to enable a new search to be undertaken.
