Spatial Data Dictionary 2004.02 Module 3 Summary

Module 3 consists of themes for field observations, measurements, areal extents of surveys, mineralisation and mine boundaries, and other location data such as earthquake epicentres. Most of the themes are of point and line features.

Mineral themes include:

• mineral deposits,
• mineral localities,
• mineral deposit tracts,
• open cut mines and quarries

Survey & field observation themes include:

• regolith-landform site descriptions,
• structural measurements,
• fossils,
• ship surveys,
• swath boundaries, and
• measured sections.
