Virtual Roadshow 2020

The Exploring for the Future Virtual Roadshow was a series of lunchtime webinar events held in July 2020, to mark the significant achievements of the Exploring for the Future program.

Geoscience Australia commenced the first phase of the Exploring for the Future program in 2016, to better understand the mineral, energy, and groundwater resources of Northern Australia to encourage exploration investment and inform resource management decisions.  The program has been highly successful, implementing innovative methods and integrating multi-disciplinary data collected over 3 million square kilometres. As of 2020, the program has been extended for four years and will expand its reach nationally.

The content from the 2020 virtual roadshow is now available on-demand.  Learn about the scientific breakthroughs of the Exploring for the Future program and listen to the subject matter experts talk about new ideas and accessing new datasets and assessment tools to support your planning, exploration, and investment decisions. Discover the benefits of the holistic approach applied across minerals, energy, and groundwater to understand potential resources. How will mineral and energy prospectivity impact community and regional development planning? How will greater knowledge of groundwater availability impact the search for mineral and energy resources? Where will the new data, tools and knowledge lead? How do we build on this program in the future? Can we make that future arrive faster?
