Location of Example: 149°05'54" East, 35°17'57" South
Distinctive Characteristics:
  • Public Boat Ramps provide access for launching or retrieval of vessels from the water.
  • In coastal areas and large perennial waterbodies Boat Ramps may be in the same vicinity as jetties and wharfs, where sailors congregate. Boat ramps are normally in more sheltered areas such as small bays or on the protected side of a peninsula.
  • Parking facilities are generally nearby.
