1. Southern Thomson Project: borehole completion data release

Geoscience Australia is releasing the borehole completion records for the 7 Southern Thomson Project boreholes drilled in New South Wales. The data release coincides with an announcement of results at the Exploration in the House (EITH) meeting, to be held in Sydney on 8 May, and the Southern Thomson core viewing to be held in the Geological Survey of New South Wales core repository in Londonderry on 9 May.

The records will be available as documents and ancillary borehole wireline data though the Geoscience Australia Data and Publications Search tool and the Southern Thomson Project web page from 8 May.

2. Update on geophysical data release

Geoscience Australia is managing the geophysical data acquisition programs in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and the Northern Territory on behalf of the state/territory geological surveys.

The current status of Geoscience Australia's geophysical survey data acquisition is available in a comprehensive table.
