Area nominations for the 2022 Offshore Greenhouse Gas Storage Acreage Release close 11:59 pm AEST Sunday 31 July 2022.
The release supports Australia’s resources sector by enabling carbon capture and storage in Australian Commonwealth waters. It is a key component of the Australian Government’s strategy to reduce emissions.
Nominate areas for the 2022 release through the online form on business.gov.au.
The nominations portal is open year-round. Submissions made after 31 July 2022 will be considered as part of future offshore greenhouse gas storage acreage releases.
