The XXIInd IAGA Workshop on Geomagnetic Observatory Instruments, Data Acquisition, and Processing (Canberra 2028) will take place at Geoscience Australia in Canberra Australia in November 2028. Organised by Division V of the International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy (IAGA), in collaboration with the host institution, Geoscience Australia (GA), this biennial international workshop aims to ensure national observation standards, improve measurement accuracy, and strengthen the global geomagnetic observation network.

We, the Local Organising Committee (LOC), are honored to welcome the workshop to Australia for the first time. The program will feature three main events: a DIM comparison session, a scientific session covering a wide range of topics related to geomagnetic observation, and a summer school.

Canberra, the national capital of Australia, is a city of almost half a million people. Geoscience Australia is Australia's pre-eminent public sector geoscience organisation. Canberra Geophysical Observatory is the primary geomagnetic observatory in the Australian geomagnetic network and has operated since 1979 in a quiet forest location, 30 km east of the Canberra city.
