Sunday 19 October, 1:30pm AEDT, Wildbark Visitor Centre ACT

Page last updated:7 October 2025

‘Adventures With Wildbark’ invites you to rock out with local & really ‘gneiss’ geoscientist Megan Lech on a guided Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary Geoheritage Walk. She’ll take you on a 430-million-year journey — from the warm tropical seas of the Canberra Formation, past the explosively dramatic Mount Ainslie Volcanics, and into today’s rolling hills and chain-of-ponds landscape.

The walk is approximately 3.5 km over 2 and half hours, and showcases examples of local rocks, landforms and soils that offer geological clues of our region's buried past and the amazing stories it has to tell.
