This October, schools and communities across Australia are invited to take part in free virtual excursions celebrating Earth Science Week 2025.

Have you ever looked at a rock or mineral and wondered what stories it could tell? How did it form? Who else has looked at it and how could it be used?

Join Geoscience Australia this Earth Science Week to explore some stories of rocks and minerals, how we describe and classify them and where they are used in our modern homes.
