Tsunami Report

To assess the tsunami hazard to the Australian coastline, Geoscience Australia is collecting information from the public to assist emergency planners in safeguarding their communities against future events.

If you have experienced a known tsunami in Australia, or any unusual coastal phenomena that may be related to a tsunami (such as a sudden rush of seawater onshore or unusual tidal currents), please fill in this form. Even if you did not experience the tsunami yourself, please fill in the form as this information will assist us. All fields are optional; however it would help us if you could fill in as many fields as possible.

If you would like to relay your experience in person, Geoscience Australia staff will be doing survey work in Western Australia during June. The following details will be updated as times and locations are confirmed. Please contact 1800 882 035 for more information.
