The maximum survey area covers the Yarraloola (pt), Yanrey (pt), Wyloo (pt), Mount Bruce (pt), Winning Pool (pt), Edmund, Turee Creek (pt), Newman (pt), Robertson (pt), Kennedy Range (pt), Mount Phillips (pt), Mount Egerton, Collier, Bullen (pt), Glenburgh (pt), Robinson Range (pt), Peak Hill (pt) and Glengarry (pt) standard 1:250 000 Map Sheets.

The survey commenced on 19 October 2013 and flying was completed on 9 January 2014.

Final point-located data were released by GSWA on 26 June 2014. For details visit http://www.dmp.wa.gov.au/14374.aspx. Geoscience Australia will be releasing the data in July.

Southern Thomson Orogen

The survey commenced on 8 April and was 100% completed on 5 May 2014. The final processed data from the Thomson survey were supplied to GA for assessment on 17 June. On 11 May acquistion of Additional Work commenced consisting of a series of traverses across the Darling and Paroo Rivers in western NSW. The additional traverses were 100% complete on 29 May.

The survey is being planned in an area between the 2007 Tanumbirini and 2001 Sturt airborne geophysical surveys. The survey will collect approximately 102 500 line km of new data on east-west flight lines spaced 400 metres apart and flown at a nominal 80 metres above ground level.  The survey covers parts of the Katherine, Larrimah, Hodgson Downs, Daly Waters, Tanumbirinni and Newcastle Waters standard 1:250 000 Map Sheets.

The survey was expected to commence on 27 June 2014.

The Geological Survey of Victoria has designed a survey of approximately 1440 stations at a nominal 400 metre station spacing on 12 separate traverses on the Warragul standard 1:250 000 Map Sheet.  The traverses cover an area of approximately 8358 km2. A Quotation Request is being drafted for release in early May 2014.

The survey expected to commence on 30 June 2014.

A Quotation Request for an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey on the Yalgoo, Kirkalocka, Perenjori and Nynghan standard 1:250 000 Map Sheets was released on 6 June and closed on 20 June. Responses are under assessment by GSWA and GA.

Geoscience Australia will be managing the data acquisition program in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
