The survey is located in an area west of Katherine and north of Timber Creek. The survey covers parts of the Fergusson River, Delamere, Victoria River Downs and Auvergne standard 1:250 000 Map Sheets. The Quotation Request closed on 23 April. The contract was executed by Geoscience Australia on 15 June. The survey will start mid-July to avoid military exercises in the survey area.

The Geological Survey of Victoria designed a survey of approximately 1440 stations at a nominal 400 metre station spacing on 12 separate traverses on the Warragul standard 1:250000 Map Sheet. The traverses cover an area of approximately 8358 km2.

The data are in preparation for release via GADDS when GSV advises GA of their preferred release date.
