The survey is located in an area west of Katherine and north of Timber Creek. The survey covers parts of the Fergusson River, Delamere, Victoria River Downs and Auvergne standard 1:250 000 Map Sheets.  The survey commenced on 20 July based in Kununurra WA. The survey was 45.8% complete to 20 September.

The Geological Survey of Victoria designed a survey of approximately 1440 stations at a nominal 400 metre station spacing on 12 separate traverses on the Warragul standard 1:250000 Map Sheet. The traverses cover an area of approximately 8358 km2.

The data are in preparation for release via GADDS in September.

Preliminary processed data were supplied to GA on 18 September.

Flying commences after the completion of flying on the West Kimberley Survey.

Geoscience Australia will be managing the data acquisition program in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and the Northern Territory.
